Winter Land By John Edward Elliott
Winter Land revolves around a young boy named Kenney, who lives in the gloomy town of Drizzle. The town and its castle are constantly covered in a thick cloud, an ancient spell cast by the Wizard to protect them from dragons and other evil forces. Despite the dreariness of his surroundings, Kenney dreams of magic and adventure, pretending to be a wizard while playing in the marshy bogs surrounding the town.
Kenney’s life takes a new turn when he begins searching for clues about his long-lost father, who disappeared years ago while searching for the sun, a celestial body forbidden by the Wizard. Along the way, Kenney finds shocking secrets about the town, its magical people, and his own mysterious powers.
On the Trail By John Edward Elliott
Nestled within the North State Watershed, the Sacramento Valley offers a breathtaking scenery of natural wonders, often overshadowed by California’s more iconic destinations. This region boasts cascading waterfalls, rare wildflowers, ancient botanical zones, rugged mountain ridges, steaming active volcanoes, gold rush, and prime birdwatching opportunities.
In his book, On the Trail, John Edward Elliott explores the newly established Berryessa Snow Mountain National Monument, hikes through the Sierra Buttes, and journeys through the volcanic topography of Lassen Volcanic National Park. Learn about the Sierra Foothill wildlife areas, the Big Bend area near Red Bluff, and the vast trails of Redding.
About
John Edward Elliott
John Edward Elliott has been creating stories since before he could even read. His early reading list included Tom Sawyer, The Wizard of Oz, Treasure Island, and Winnie the Pooh, alongside a collection of myths and fairy tales. These books sparked a lifelong love for adventures, journeys, and quests. By the 6th grade, John had taught himself to type and began filling pages with epic tales of fantasy.
John writes because the words flow naturally to him, one after the other as if they already know their perfect order, whether in prose or poetry.
Before Winter Land, John published On the Trail, a hiking guide focused on Northern California’s landscape. Though different in genre, both books share a common message:
