About
John Edward Elliott
John Edward Elliott has been creating stories since before he could even read. His early reading list included Tom Sawyer, The Wizard of Oz, Treasure Island, and Winnie the Pooh, alongside a collection of myths and fairy tales. These books sparked a lifelong love for adventures, journeys, and quests. By the 6th grade, John had taught himself to type and began filling pages with epic tales of fantasy.
John writes because the words flow naturally to him, one after the other as if they already know their perfect order, whether in prose or poetry.
Before Winter Land, John published On the Trail, a hiking guide focused on Northern California’s landscape. Though different in genre, both books share a common message:
A call to explore the world around us.
Born in Missouri and raised in Southern California, John has since lived in Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Santa Cruz, Las Vegas, and even a rustic cabin off the grid in the Yosemite foothills. His life has been filled with close escapes, including flash floods and wildfires. Currently living in Northern California, he’s seen ghosts and an angel and knows the difference.
